Their names are xxxxx & xxxxxxxx and they were from Boston, Massachusetts.  Their ship was the Millenium.  Please advise as to the arrangements of a tour. Pompeii tours are definitely possible to organize privately for yourself, even if you are arriving on a cruise ship. Generally the ship docks in the morning in the bay of Naples, and you will have until 5.30 pm or so before you need to be back on board giving you plenty of time to do your Pompeii tour plus one other location without rushing too much. If you decide to book one of the tours sold on board the cruise ships, know that you are going to spend about one hour only in the site and some time in the vicinity for food and souvenir shopping. We would suggest a time of about two hours is probably a better amount of time to give the site justice.

Sadly, there is a quite range of standards guides available in the bay of Naples; Some will tailor the tour to your own personal interests, others will trot out the same old standard tour. So you do right to question what are some of the better sights.

If you are able spare a couple of hours, then you should definitely not miss xxxxxxxxxx.

Tour prices depend on the individuals. Most guides work privately as well as for agencies that sell tours to tour companies and the cruise ships. So if you plan well ahead and research your options, you will definitely have a better chance of finding a quality guide. Prices range from x to x
