Are there really bodies in the site of Pompeii?

Well, the plaster casts of parts of bodies can be seen. These were taken when archeologists found the indentations in the volcanic ash of the bodies that had been buried but since rotted away. Plaster was poured into these cavities revealing the last poses of some of the tragic victims of the eruption of AD79.
